Easy Bacon Cheddar Quiche (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 9-inch unbaked pie crust, homemade or store bought

→ Filling

02 - 6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
03 - 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
04 - 1 handful baby spinach, roughly chopped
05 - 5 large eggs
06 - 1 cup half and half
07 - Salt and pepper, to taste

→ Optional Topping

08 - Hollandaise sauce

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Place pie crust in 9-inch pie pan, trim and crimp edges. Line with parchment paper or foil and fill with dried beans, rice or pie weights.
02 - Bake crust for 10-12 minutes until edges turn pale. Remove weights and paper, continue baking 5-7 minutes until bottom and sides are pale.
03 - Place bacon, cheese and spinach in partially baked crust and set aside.
04 - Whisk eggs and half and half until pale yellow. Season with salt and pepper, then pour over filling.
05 - Reduce oven to 375°F. Bake quiche for 35-45 minutes, until center is set and no longer jiggly.
06 - Let sit for a few minutes before slicing. Optionally top with hot sauce, sour cream or hollandaise sauce.
