Baked General Tso Chicken (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 pounds chicken breasts (boneless, skinless).
02 - 4 cups broccoli florets.
03 - 1/2 cup brown sugar.
04 - 1/2 cup rice vinegar.
05 - 1 tablespoon tomato paste.
06 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce.
07 - 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger.
08 - 1 teaspoon minced garlic.
09 - 1 teaspoon sriracha.
10 - 1/4 cup cornstarch.
11 - 1/2 to 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 425ºF and grease 9x13 baking dish.
02 - Cut chicken into 1-inch pieces, add to dish with broccoli.
03 - Mix brown sugar, vinegar, tomato paste, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, sriracha, and cornstarch until combined.
04 - Pour sauce over chicken and broccoli, toss to coat.
05 - Cook 15 minutes, stir well, cook additional 15 minutes until chicken reaches 165ºF.
06 - Let rest uncovered 5 minutes before serving with rice.

# Notes:

01 - Don't cover while resting to keep sauce thick.
02 - Recipe is mild without red pepper flakes.
03 - Can add more spice with extra sriracha or pepper flakes.
