Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cookie Dough

01 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
02 - 1 cup packed brown sugar
03 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
04 - 2 1/2 cups heat-treated all-purpose flour
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
06 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
07 - 1/4 cup milk
08 - 1 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips

→ Chocolate Topping

09 - 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
10 - 2 tablespoons coconut oil or butter

# Instructions:

01 - Microwave or bake all-purpose flour at 175°C for 5 minutes to kill bacteria. Allow it to cool completely.
02 - In a large bowl, beat softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy. Mix in vanilla extract, milk, and salt. Gradually incorporate cooled, heat-treated flour and mix until smooth. Stir in the mini chocolate chips.
03 - Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper. Press the cookie dough mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
04 - In a microwave-safe bowl, melt semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil (or butter) in 30-second intervals, stirring between intervals until smooth.
05 - Evenly pour the melted chocolate over the cookie dough layer. Spread to ensure smooth coverage. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
06 - Once chocolate is set, slice into bars and enjoy.
