In another microwave-safe bowl, combine semi-sweet chocolate chips and, if desired, peanut butter chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until fully melted and smooth. Stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.

Spread the melted chocolate mixture evenly over the cereal base in each muffin cup.

Refrigerate for approximately 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm. Once set, serve and enjoy.
