Comforting Meat Pie Delight (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pastry

01 - 4 cups flour
02 - 200g cold butter
03 - 2 eggs
04 - 1 tsp salt
05 - 1 tbsp sugar
06 - 1 tsp baking powder
07 - 1/4 cup cold water

→ Filling

08 - 3/4 lb ground beef
09 - 1 potato, diced
10 - 1 large onion, chopped
11 - 1 carrot, diced
12 - 1 cup water or beef broth
13 - Salt and pepper
14 - 1 tsp thyme
15 - 2 tbsp flour
16 - 2 tbsp oil
17 - 1 egg (for brushing)

# Instructions:

01 - Combine flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add eggs and cold water to form dough. Chill for 30 minutes.
02 - Heat oil in a pan, sauté onions, then add carrots and potatoes. Cook until soft. Add ground beef, cook until browned, season with salt, pepper, thyme, and flour.
03 - Roll out the dough, cut into rounds, place filling inside, fold the dough over, and seal the edges.
04 - Brush the pies with egg wash and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
