# Ingredients:

→ Madeleine Batter

01 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
02 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
03 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
04 - 2 large eggs
05 - 1 tablespoon lemon zest
06 - 1/4 cup whole milk
07 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
08 - 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
09 - Pinch of salt

→ Glaze

10 - 1/2 cup powdered sugar
11 - 2 tablespoons lemon juice

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease and flour a madeleine pan.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar together until thick and pale. Add the melted butter, lemon zest, milk, and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
04 - Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
05 - Spoon the batter into the prepared madeleine pan, filling each mold about 3/4 full.
06 - Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the madeleines are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
07 - Allow the madeleines to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
08 - In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and lemon juice to make the glaze.
09 - Once the madeleines have cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top.
