Preheat your oven to 220°C to prepare for melting the cheese.

Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced steak and season with garlic salt and black pepper. Cook until browned on all sides, then remove and set aside.

Reserve 1 tablespoon of cooking juices in the skillet and discard the rest. Add sliced bell pepper and onion. Cook until the vegetables are tender but slightly crisp. Remove and set aside with the steak.

Spread frozen waffle fries in the skillet. Layer 4 slices of cheese on top, then add the cooked steak and sautéed vegetables. Repeat layers and finish with the remaining cheese slices.

Place the skillet in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden.

Remove from oven and let cool for 1-2 minutes. Serve immediately while the dish is hot and the cheese is gooey.
